Knowing about the client, his needs, his fears, his emotions, his likes, his dislikes, his beliefs, his views, his misconceptions, his nature is more important than knowing everything about the product you are selling.

While it is easy to master the few features of every product, it is indeed a challenge to understand customers because they are not only complex but each one of them is unique.
